Mechanical Design Process
Compress, PVElite, RCS and FE Pipe, Perry’s Mechanical Design Software That Complies With ASME Code Requirements.
Mechanical design includes application of thermal design parameters in sophisticated mechanical design programs such as Compress, PVElite, FEPipe and RCS. Mechanical design software is used to optimize the design in terms of material thickness, selection, and overall compliance with ASME, TEMA, API, PIP, NBIC, NACE and other customer specification requirements.
3D Scale Models
Using the results from the mechanical design software, 3D models are generated in Solidworks for verification of nozzle placement, dimensions, support locations, structural mounting requirements and other key design factors. ASME code calculations are generated with the drawing package for customer review and approval. After customer approval, shop drawings are released for fabrication.
